From a Father.

Meri choṭi ungli thame,
Jab tu pehli dafa chali thi;
Meri saari khwahisheiṅ,
Bas tujh par aa ruki thi..

Mere sapne tere saath-saath baḍe hue.
Teri kamyaabi ka sapne-
Teri shaadi ka sapne-
Sapne teri kaushal zindagi ke...
Tere saare sapne... hain meri sapnon se juḍe hue

Haan beta,
Jab tere nazuk se hotoṅ se,
Woh Pehli baat suni thi..
Meri saari khwahisheiṅ,
Bas tujh par ruki thi.

Beṭi, kehte hai log parayi hai.
Woh tumhare aaṅgan, bas kuch waqt ko aayi hai.
Par kaise? tu toh dil meiṅ basi hai..
Beta... Teri khushi, meri khushi hai

Toh bhale hi ab waqt ho chala h.
Koi uss or, teri raah meiṅ ruka h.
Tu yaad rakhna...
Ki yeh pita tera.. hamesha tere saath khaḍa hai.

Tu yaad rakhna
Ki chehra mera dekh kar,
Jab tu pehli baar haṅsi thi..
Meri saari khwahisheiṅ-

Tujh par aa ruki thi.

When I decided to fall in love!

To be loved- Fundamental
To find her- means
Alternatives-
-That one with beautiful eyes.
- Oh or that girl with a beautiful smile.
-My heart says that one-
bespectacled, Charming and wise.

To fall for beauty- evanescent - isn’t my goal.
I chose last, an everlasting wonderful soul,
An intelligent trade-off, As I see now.
For the worth of outcome is immense
It is the sweetest dream- my life.
It is joy- to be by her side.

Yes, there were constraints,
our worlds were different-
Togetherness seemed remote.
Yet we happened,
We came close.

Now she owns my heart- no recourse.
I just want to love her better
Love her more.

I learn bit by bit as we go,
For if rifts happen-
If we drift apart-
I should be able:
To get back to her – means
To be loved – fundamental

Kashtiyan

Kashtiyan kinaron k liye nhi banti.
Unka astitva sagar se hai.
Kinare bas yu hain- ki kuch waqt ka sahara ho.
Ki chot lage, toh kinara dundhe.
Tufaan aaye, toh kinara dhundhe.
par phir pehle hi peher chal dein sagar se milne.
Aur ek din phir sama jayein sagar mein-
Kinare ko raah takta chhod...

Woh kashti h,
Aur mein kinara.
Aur kashtiyan... kinaron k liye nhi banti. 🙂

The Quest to Pursue

Some people don't break your peace,
They somehow manage to sync.
They exist there, within your solitude,
Like a wave, hurtling to the shore,
Touching your feet-
yet not bothering,
But comforting- in its own strange way.
Some people make solitude whole.

Rare they are-
But they exist.
To find a soul,
that accept yours, with all its flaws.
A heart,
that complements the existence of yours.
That is the quest;
The one, to pursue-
The one, to complete.

Ghar

Woh parinda,
Jo ghonsla apna chhod kar,
Aasmaan ko chhune jata hai..
Hawaoṅ se ishq karta hai,
Badaloṅ ko dost banata hai.
Kabhi kabhi usse ghar yaad aata hai..

Woh parinda...
Khwab mein, kabhi-kabhi,
ghar ki tasveer banta hai!

Port Stephens

Somebody wrote a poem on earth,
In blues and browns, and greens.
Heart-touching, serene and calm;
as all poems should be.
Perhaps, this is, every poet's dream.

From a Mother

Of our family album,
I would turn the leaves,
and see you grow all over again.
And I will close my eyes
to see your laughter, your smile.
Your memories, my love,
would keep me sane.

I would read the books you read
and the notes you wrote.
I would hold you my dear,
in every next thought.

You, my darling, are my day and my night.
Your gleaming eyes light my days,
Warmth that I need,
I get, from the radiance of your face.

And as you leave tonight
-to chase your dreams
-to succeed
I won't stop you, I won't weep
But I would be afraid (& I won't let you know)
For when you are gone, my love,
This house won't be home.

For home is the echo of your voice,
that makes this house, come to life.
Your presence my darling is home.
Home isn't the brick and mortar this building is.
We together
-you, your di, your dad & I
-We are home.
-Family is home.

My dear,
I hope you will remember that.
I hope that soon, you will come back.
